Flag of Hungary, Hungarian coat of arms and national anthem

The Hungarian flag is composed of three equal horizontal bands of red, white and green.
	The current coat of arms has been reinstated in 1990. The arms of Hungary are: per pale, barry of 8, gules and argent, gules, a cross lorraine argent, rising out of a crown or on a compartment vert.
The Hungarian national anthem has been written in 1823 by the poet Ferenc Kölcsey. The music was composed by the composer and conductor Ferenc Erkel in 1844, who won a contest to compose the national anthem.
